Belt & Road Overseas Venture Incubator (BROVI) operates as a unit specializing in incubating overseas business ventures within the Southeast Asia Research Centre for Humanities (SEARCH). Its main goal is to foster and facilitate collaborative business ventures across borders or overseas between China and Malaysia. This encompasses activities such as joint ventures, cross-border investments involving technology and skill transfer, nurturing tech-based startups, market-driven research and development innovation, commercialization efforts, and establishing business networks. BROVI will work closely with government agencies such as MIDA and MATRADE and brings together entrepreneurs who share a common interest in advancing business cooperation between the two nations. The unit regularly arranges overseas business trips in various formats including business matching, networking events, forums, roundtable discussions, company visits, and investment briefings to facilitate cross-border business collaborations between China and Malaysia.
